Job Description

Benevis Dental seeks an Expanded Services Dental Assistant to support high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy clinical setting. In this role, you'll provide chairside assistance for expanded procedures, prepare and maintain treatment rooms, and ensure proper sterilization and infection control. You'll take radiographs, assist with impressions and basic lab tasks as allowed by state law, and document accurate patient records. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll educate patients, help manage patient flow, and contribute to continuous improvement in clinical efficiency and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance to dentists during expanded dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials per infection control standards Take and process dental radiographs and intraoral images Review medical histories and update patient records accurately Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Assist with impressions, temporaries, and basic lab tasks as allowed by state law Maintain sterilization, equipment maintenance, and supply inventory Support patient flow, scheduling, and front-desk tasks as needed Collaborate with clinical team to improve patient experience and outcomes Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental board regulations Required Skills Chairside dental assisting Dental radiography Infection control and sterilization Four-handed dentistry Dental charting and documentation Dental materials handling Impressions and temporaries Electronic dental records (EDR) Patient education and communication OSHA and HIPAA compliance
