Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Assist in sedations and help manage airway
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Perform medical documentation and maintain accurate patient records
  • Conduct patient assessments and obtain medical history
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Perform dental laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models
  • Assist with dental CAD/CAM technology and digital impressions
  • Utilize electronic health record systems such as WINOMS for medical coding and record keeping
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred but not necessary.
  • X-ray certification preferred, but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
  • Proficiency in using dental software and electronic health record systems
