In this energetic position, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical efficiency. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures Assist dentists chairside during a variety of treatments including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric procedures Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental x-ray equipment while adhering to infection prevention management protocols Manage patient records efficiently using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy Ensure clinical cleanliness by following dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient management software to optimize workflow Qualifications Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures Proficiency with EMR systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable Strong understanding of infection control practices, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention standards Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental instruments, and medical imaging tools confidently Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is a plus Excellent communication skills for explaining treatments using medical terminology clearly while maintaining compassionate patient interactions Certification in dental assisting or relevant training in chairside assisting; additional certifications in radiography or oral surgery are advantageous Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and adhering to OSHA guidelines for infection prevention management Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and technical excellence.
