Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols Capture high-quality dental x-rays and utilize 3D scanners for precise imaging as needed Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software Take vital signs and review medical histories to ensure patient safety and comfort before procedures Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support patient management by providing clear instructions, answering questions about procedures, and ensuring a positive experience Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation Experience with dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise Ability to operate dental x-ray machines safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety protocols Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and oral surgery procedures is a plus Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other clinical staff Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care and general healthcare settings Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding patient care in a supportive environment that values your skills and growth.
