Duties Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental sterilization procedures. Manage patient records efficiently using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment sessions. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient inquiries with professionalism. Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control protocols and dental equipment maintenance routines. Preferences Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft along with familiarity with patient management software. Strong understanding of dental x-ray techniques, oral surgery assistance, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry practices. Knowledge of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards. Ability to accurately process dental instruments and operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members like dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with medical terminology related to oral health care.
