Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dentists during patient procedures, ensure a high level of patient care, and help maintain an efficient and organized clinical environment. This role is essential to delivering a positive patient experience and high-quality dental services.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals) Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA and CDC guidelines Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required Prepare patients for treatments and ensure their comfort throughout procedures Record patient medical histories and update records accurately Provide post-operative care instructions to patients Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and common areas Manage dental supplies inventory and restock as needed Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties when necessary Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred Current Dental Assistant certification (e.g., DANB) preferred or required per state regulations X-ray certification (as required by state) Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
