In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies. Monitor vital signs and assist with patient management to ensure comfort and safety throughout appointments. Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures and infection control standards to uphold healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans while demonstrating excellent patient management software skills. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, dental instrument processing, and dental sterilization procedures. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical records and patient data. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, oral surgery protocols, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and medical imaging devices while adhering to safety standards. Strong understanding of infection prevention management practices and healthcare infection control policies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
