Full Job Description Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Job description: Greater Michigan Oral Surgeons & Dental Implant Center is looking to hire a surgical assistant in our Flint location. We are a growing oral surgery practice seeking candidates that have a positive attitude, a high level of professionalism, and are able to work in a fast paced environment. We go over the top to give our patients an excellent experience from start to finish. In order to achieve this, candidates should have the following skills: High level of organization Multi-tasking Customer service Problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure Along with these skills, candidates must be able to remain calm during a stressful situation. Patient safety is our top priority, so a person in this position must be able to follow proper protocol in emergency situations.
Tasks include:
Entering and reviewing medical history with patient Placing monitoring equipment on patient and obtain vitals Assisting doctor with surgical procedures (extractions, biopsies, implants, etc.) by passing instruments, airway management, aspirating intra-oral fluids, etc. Maintaining operative record and accurately recording treatment information in the patient's chart Taking radiographs and cone beam CT scans Providing pre-op and post-op instructions Other direct and indirect patient care tasks Dental assisting experience is not required, but is preferred. We are willing to train candidates who are eager to learn. Our office hours are 7:00am - 4:30pm. Surgical assistants must arrive early to prepare for patients, which may be as early as 6:30am.
