Job Overview Join our dynamic Prosthodontic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and the overall success of our practice. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, friendly setting dedicated to oral health excellence. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures in accordance with infection control standards. Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, prosthodontics, and surgical dentistry cases by providing chairside support. Capture dental X-rays including panoramic Xrays, CBCT using advanced medical imaging technology like 3D scanners, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Manage patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft ensuring all medical documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after treatments to promote safety and well-being. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions clearly and professionally. Support front desk operations by assisting the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and handling medical coding for billing purposes. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft for managing dental and medical records efficiently. Strong understanding of dental terminology across general dentistry, prosthodontics, and other specialties. Ability to operate dental X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and patient care documentation. Familiarity with dental coding processes to ensure accurate billing and insurance claims processing. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental hygienists, receptionists, and specialists. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
