In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth clinical operations while delivering outstanding patient care. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills in general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics within a supportive and growth-focused setting. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, oral surgery, endodontic treatments, and prosthodontics with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Take high-quality dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety guidelines Manage patient records efficiently using patient management software such as Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient evaluations Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate dental records Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments properly and following infection control protocols aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures Stay updated on the latest dental equipment technologies such as intraoral cameras, digital X-ray machines, and the use of a four-handed dentistry approach for optimal clinical outcomes Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry; with a minimum of 2 years experience Demonstrated proficiency with dental assisting duties including chairside assisting, taking X-rays (including dental x-ray), making temporaries, invisalign system and managing dental records Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for efficient patient data management Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures necessary for maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Certification as a Dental Assistant and radiography from an accredited program is required Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages Join our team where your skills will make a real difference!
