Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic Endodontic Dental Assistant to join our specialty endodontic practice. Our practice has new ownership, so there are many updates occurring and clinical pace will be slowly increased over the coming weeks-months. This is a unique opportunity to share your insights and expertise with a small team. In this role, you will support both administrative and clinical duties. Time spent in reception and clinical settings will be roughly 50-50, with most days including a mix of both. Dental experience is desired, but training is offered as necessary. Duties Greet patients, answer telephones, and schedule treatment. Run dental insurance estimates and collect payment for services. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, following standard aseptic techniques. Sterilize dental instruments according to CDC guidelines. Perform patient check-in including history taking and imaging (digital intraoral and 3D CBCT radiographs). Assist the endodontist chairside during surgical, non-surgical, and sedation endodontic procedures.
Experience/Training Required:
Six months' experience in a dental office
Preferred:
Michigan X-ray certification
Preferred:
BLS certification
Preferred:
RDA certification
Preferred:
Any experience with sedation procedures. Training is provided as needed (paid).
Hours:
Monday-Thursday, 8am-4:30pm, six paid holidays annually
