This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine front-office management with clinical support, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment completion. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care while maintaining efficient office operations. You will play a vital role in supporting general and pediatric dentistry procedures, managing patient records, and assisting with clinical tasks that uphold the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointment details, and manage patient check-in/check-out using advanced patient management software such as Dentrix or Epic. Schedule appointments efficiently while coordinating with the dental team to optimize daily workflow. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners, and ensuring all clinical supplies are stocked. Assist dentists during procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and handling dental instruments with aseptic technique. Take and develop dental X-rays following infection prevention management protocols; ensure proper handling of medical imaging equipment. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including medical coding and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Educate patients on oral health care practices, explain treatment plans using appropriate dental terminology, and address any questions or concerns professionally. Follow strict infection control procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff, including sterilization of dental instruments and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies. Support clinical staff in performing vital signs assessments when necessary and assist with dental sterilization procedures for all instruments used during patient care. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist and Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with patient management software is essential. Knowledge of dental terminology, clinical procedures, dental equipment operation, and medical documentation standards. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare infection prevention protocols to ensure compliance at all times. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in record keeping and clinical support tasks.
