Job Description

Greater Michigan Oral Surgeons & Dental Implant Center is looking to add a Surgical Assistant to our teams serving the Saginaw, Bay City, and Midland offices. With continued growth across our practice, we are searching for dependable and energetic individuals who work well in a busy clinical environment and consistently demonstrate professionalism. Ideal candidates will have:
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities The ability to prioritize and manage several responsibilities at once Outstanding interpersonal and patient service skills Sound judgment and critical-thinking abilities The ability to stay calm and productive in a fast-paced setting Maintaining patient safety is essential in this role. Candidates must be able to respond appropriately in urgent situations, remain composed under pressure, and follow all clinical and emergency protocols carefully. Responsibilities Include Collecting and updating patient medical information Preparing and monitoring patients by applying appropriate monitoring equipment and recording vital signs Assisting surgeons during oral surgery procedures, including extractions, implant placements, and biopsies Providing chairside support by handling instruments, suction, and airway assistance as needed Completing accurate charting and maintaining thorough patient records Taking dental radiographs and cone beam CT scans Reviewing pre-operative and post-operative instructions with patients Supporting additional patient care and clinical responsibilities as needed Experience & Qualifications Prior dental assisting experience is not necessary. We welcome individuals who are motivated to learn and are interested in building a long-term career within our practice. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Work Schedule & Expectations Standard office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Team members in this role may need to arrive as early as 6:30 a.m. to prepare for scheduled procedures Flexibility to travel between the Saginaw, Bay City, and Midland locations is required We appreciate your interest in becoming part of our team and thank you for considering Greater Michigan Oral Surgeons & Dental Implant Center as your next career opportunity.
