Job description Minneapolis Dentistry Company is seeking a dependable, patient-focused team member to support both chairside dental assisting and front-desk coordination . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, learns quickly, communicates well with patients, and wants to grow in a modern, team-oriented dental office. Dental experience is preferred, but a Minnesota dental-assistant license is not required for this position. We are willing to train the right person on our office systems, clinical workflow, and patient-care standards. What you will do This is a dual-role position. Some days you will support the clinical team chairside; other times you will help keep the front office organized and patients well cared for. Chairside and clinical support Prepare operatories before patients arrive and turn rooms over between appointments. Assist the dentist and clinical team during procedures within your training and permitted duties. Set up trays, materials, instruments, and supplies. Help maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical area. Follow infection-control, sterilization, PPE, OSHA, and patient-safety procedures. Escort patients, help them feel comfortable, and support a positive patient experience. Assist with digital records, photos, scanning, and other non-licensed clinical support tasks as trained. Communicate clearly with the doctor, hygienist, sterile tech, and front-office team. Front-desk and patient coordination Welcome patients, check them in and out, and maintain a friendly, professional reception area. Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and route clinical, insurance, or financial questions to the appropriate team member. Schedule and confirm appointments, manage reminders, and help fill schedule openings. Update patient demographics, contact information, and required forms. Scan documents, maintain accurate records, and document patient communications in the practice-management system. Collect payments and provide receipts according to office policy and training. Support insurance-information collection and verification as trained. Help with recall, reactivation, follow-up, and patient communication projects. What we are looking for Strong customer-service and communication skills. A warm, professional, patient-centered attitude. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a willingness to help wherever needed. Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and switching between clinical and administrative tasks. Ability to follow detailed systems, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements. Comfortable using computers, learning dental software, and handling phones. Ability to work well with a small team and accept coaching. Dental assisting, front-desk, medical-office, hospitality, customer-service, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent required. CPR/BLS certification is preferred or must be obtained after hire.
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 31.0 - 35.0 per week
