No evenings and no weekends Consistent weekday hours, with most days ending on time Private practice, not corporate Modern technology, including digital and CEREC scanning Close-knit team where everybody helps everybody Position Overview We are seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant who is dependable, adaptable, and committed to excellent patient care. This position includes chairside assisting, clinical support, sterilization, digital scanning, and helping the clinical team maintain an efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate communicates well, anticipates the dentist's needs, and helps patients feel comfortable throughout their visit. Experience with CEREC scanning is preferred because digital scanning and supporting restorative treatment are important parts of this position. Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance during general, restorative, cosmetic, and other dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care Capture diagnostic radiographs and intraoral images Complete digital and CEREC scans Take impressions and perform other duties permitted for a Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant Anticipate the dentist's needs and support efficient clinical care Follow sterilization, infection-control, and safety protocols Educate, reassure, and communicate clearly with patients Help maintain an organized clinical environment and smooth patient flow Work collaboratively with the dentist and the rest of the team Occasionally assist with scheduling, patient check-in or check-out, and phone coverage when the team needs support Our Practice Clinical services include: General and restorative dentistry Esthetic crowns, bridges, and composite restorations Cosmetic dentistry, veneers, smile design, and whitening Botox Technology includes: Open Dental practice-management software Digital radiography Intraoral cameras Digital scanning CEREC scanning technology
Qualifications:
Active Licensed Dental Assistant credential in the state of Minnesota Strong chairside assisting and clinical skills Friendly, professional, and patient-focused demeanor Clear communication with patients and coworkers Strong organization and time-management skills Ability to anticipate what is needed and take initiative Willingness to learn, adapt, and expand skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team CPR Certification CEREC or digital-scanning experience is preferred but not required Schedule Minnetonka Dental's regular clinic hours are:
Monday-Thursday:
7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday:
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday:
Closed Typical work hours for this position are:
Monday-Thursday:
6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Friday:
7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (about two Fridays per month) This full-time position averages approximately 38-42 hours per week. There are no evenings and no weekends.
