The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support dental procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, equipment, and infection control protocols, along with experience in dental clinic settings. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a sterile environment to promote optimal oral health outcomes. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Perform dental x-ray procedures accurately and efficiently, adhering to safety standards. Follow sterilization procedures for dental instruments and equipment to maintain infection prevention and control. Prepare treatment rooms and dental equipment prior to patient appointments. Manage patient records using healthcare management software with accuracy and confidentiality. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology to effectively communicate with team members and patients. Support infection prevention protocols in accordance with healthcare standards. Handle dental equipment troubleshooting and maintenance as needed. Assist with patient management tasks including scheduling, billing, and follow-up appointments. Qualifications Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required. Proficiency in performing dental x-ray procedures. Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures and infection control practices. Familiarity with dental terminology and equipment operation. Strong patient care skills with excellent communication abilities. Experience using healthcare or patient management software. Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
