We are seeking a motivated and experienced Licensed Dental Assistant with surgical expertise to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our practice, you will play a crucial role in assisting our oral and maxillofacial surgeons in delivering top-notch patient care. If you are passionate about oral surgery, have a valid Minnesota dental assistant license, and possess the necessary surgical skills, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:
- Assist oral and maxillofacial surgeons during surgical procedures, including dental implant placement, wisdom teeth extractions, and facial reconstructions.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Take and develop dental x-rays and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
- Educate patients on pre
- and post-operative care instructions.
- Ensure a clean and organized surgical suite.
- Assist with patient intake, scheduling, and billing as needed.
- Uphold strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with the entire dental team to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Dental Assistant License.
- Surgical experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
