Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Certified Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Your expertise in clinical procedures, patient management, and dental technology will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Patient Management Software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing questions to enhance patient comfort and understanding. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling medical documentation and medical records securely. Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed and managing patient flow efficiently. Skills Proficiency with dental software including EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms for seamless patient management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and healthcare infection prevention standards. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique to optimize clinical efficiency. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry procedures and experience working within a pediatric or general dental clinic environment is preferred. $27,500.00 - $40,000.00 per year
