Job Description

Signature Smiles Dentistry KC is growing, and we're looking for the right person to grow with us. We're not necessarily looking for someone who already knows how to be a dental assistant. We're looking for someone who has the potential to become an incredible one. We are a growing, privately owned dental practice focused on providing exceptional dentistry and an exceptional patient experience. As a startup, we're building our culture, our systems, and our team from the ground up — and we want someone who is excited to be part of that process. Who We're Looking For You might be an experienced dental assistant. Or you might be someone who has never worked in dentistry but knows how to work hard, learn quickly, and take pride in what you do. Most importantly, you are: Highly motivated and genuinely want to grow A hard worker who doesn't need to be constantly reminded what needs to be done Coach-able and able to take instruction without taking feedback personally Professional, dependable, and takes pride in your work A true team player who cares about the success of the entire team Someone with integrity who does the right thing even when no one is watching Calm and solutions-oriented when things don't go according to plan Someone who doesn't create drama or get caught up in negativity Willing to step outside your comfort zone and learn new things Someone who doesn't give up when things get hard Excited by the idea of helping build something rather than simply showing up to a job What You'll Do You'll work closely with the doctor and team to learn every aspect of being an exceptional dental assistant, including: Chairside assisting including sedation Room setup and breakdown Sterilization and infection control Patient communication and comfort Digital dentistry and technology Radiographs and clinical documentation Lab communication and case preparation Helping with procedures ranging from routine dentistry to more advanced treatment Creating an outstanding patient experience from the moment a patient walks through our doors Training will be provided. We are willing to teach the right person the clinical skills. What we cannot teach as easily is work ethic, integrity, attitude, accountability, and the desire to be great. What You Can Expect From Us We believe the right team can make a good practice exceptional. You'll receive hands-on training, clear expectations, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow alongside a practice that is actively being built. You'll have a voice in improving systems and creating the kind of workplace where people actually enjoy coming to work. This is an opportunity to grow with the practice, not just work in it. If you want a job where you can clock in, do the bare minimum, complain about what's wrong, and clock out, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you want to be challenged, learn something new, become really good at what you do, work alongside people who care, and help build something you can be proud of… We want to meet you. The Bottom Line We're looking for character over credentials. If you are dependable, driven, kind, professional, coachable, hardworking, and excited to become an amazing dental assistant, we can teach you the rest. Come build something amazing with us. Apply today and tell us why you think you'd be a great fit for Signature Smiles Dentistry KC. Send your resume with a cover letter about why this opportunity excites you to SSDentistryKC@gmail.com
