Orthodontic Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. You will be seen as an integral part to the practice's success. The normal clinical work week will be 2 days that will either fall on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday (potential flexibility if needed). Duties Assist orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment Take X-rays and diagnostic photos for records Manage patient records accurately, including treatment card note-taking Utilize 3D scanners and 3-D printers Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and follow up with patients regarding their treatment plans. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area to promote a safe working environment Chair side duties: Tie in brackets, change out wires, deliver appliances, fit bands, take impressions, prepare teeth and initially place brackets Lab duties: Pour-up models, fabricate essix retainers, make RPEs Qualifications Experience as a clinical orthodontic assistant If you have little orthodontic assisting experience or don't feel confident in one of the duties listed above, we can teach you everything you need to know to be successful.
