Position Overview We are seeking a Dental Assistant II (DAII) who is flexible, team-oriented, and passionate about patient care. This role will include a combination of: Assisting the doctor with a wide variety of procedures Supporting hygiene with perio charting and patient flow Assisting with new patient exams and diagnostics This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day and wants to grow within a practice. Key Responsibilities Chairside Assisting (Doctor Column) Assist the dentist during procedures (fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, implants, etc.) Prepare and break down treatment rooms efficiently Ensure proper isolation, suction, and patient comfort throughout procedures Take high-quality digital x-rays and CBCT Assist with impressions, temporaries, and lab cases Accurately document clinical notes and treatment details Hygiene Support Assist hygienists with perio charting Help maintain on-time patient flow Turn over rooms efficiently between patients Support hygiene team during busy periods or when running behind New Patient & Exam Support Assist with comprehensive exams and limited exams Take bitewings/PAs and intraoral photos Ensure all diagnostic information is complete prior to doctor exam Help create a welcoming and smooth first-visit experience for patients General Clinical Duties Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols Ensure operatories are fully stocked and prepared Review schedules ahead of time for proper setup Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient care and flow Provide excellent patient education and support Qualifications Current DAII classification (North Carolina) or DANB North Carolina x-ray certification required Coronal polishing certification required Experience with digital x-rays and dental software (Open Dental preferred, but not required) Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills What We're Looking For A team player who is willing to support both doctor and hygiene columns Someone who takes initiative and helps where needed without being asked A positive, patient-focused attitude Reliability and strong work ethic Desire to grow with the practice long-term Why Join Our Team?
