Dental Assistant - Okonic Dental Okonic Dental, formerly Radiant Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry - Salisbury, is looking for an energetic, dependable, and motivated Dental Assistant with conversational Spanish skills to join our growing team. Although our name is new, we are the same trusted team that has proudly served the Salisbury community for more than three years—continuing our mission of creating healthy, confident smiles. We are a comprehensive dental practice providing general, cosmetic, restorative, surgical, and implant dentistry. We are looking for a Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care, works well in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of teamwork and creating an exceptional patient experience. Conversational Spanish skills are highly preferred. The ideal candidate should be comfortable communicating with Spanish-speaking patients regarding basic dental needs, appointments, treatment instructions, and general patient-care conversations. Full fluency is not required.

Responsibilities include:

Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials Take digital X-rays and intraoral scans as permitted Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control protocols Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions Assist with restorative, crown and bridge, oral surgery, implant, and other procedures Maintain accurate and organized patient records Keep operatories clean, stocked, and ready for patients Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients Use conversational Spanish when assisting Spanish-speaking patients Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, front-office staff, and fellow assistants Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is positive, hardworking, reliable, organized, and eager to grow. You should be comfortable taking initiative, helping your teammates, and maintaining high standards even during busy days. Dental assisting experience is preferred, and experience with digital dentistry, oral surgery, implants, or Open Dental is a plus. We especially welcome candidates with conversational or fluent Spanish skills who can help us provide an even better experience for our Spanish-speaking patients.
