Overview Join our caring and close-knit dental team as a Dental Office Assistant/Receptionist, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support our team. Our office is on the cutting edge of technology and the care we provide for our patients is life-changing! We invite you to be a part of something amazing. In this flexible role, you will be primarily assisting our dentists and patients while also helping in our front-office to keep our schedule organized. We are looking for a great person who cares about others and experience in a dental office is not a requirement but would be a plus. English and Spanish bilingual ability is also an advantage but not a requirement. We offer generous time off (6-8 weeks a year), paid holidays, no weekends, a great bonus structure and a 4-day work week. We also have employer matched 401K and profit sharing. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using our patient management software. Handle all front desk duties including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and coordinating patient flow efficiently. Prepare and update patient records in EMR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for procedures, and supporting chairside assisting during dental treatments like oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures, maintain infection prevention standards, and ensure aseptic techniques are followed. Support dental team members with equipment setup, including dental x-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other dental technology tools such as digital radiography systems Manage billing and coding using medical documentation standards to ensure accurate insurance claims and patient invoices. Requirements (after 90 days of employement) Experience not required, we will teach you, however previous experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment is a plus. Proficiency with our dental practice management software. Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and medical coding practices Familiarity with infection control protocols including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety protocols for both patients and staff. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clinical confidentiality.
