Overview Scottsbluff Dentist is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. Patient care is our number one priority! Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for use in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols. Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation in systems such as Eaglesoft, and verifying patient information for accuracy. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing patient comfort, and explaining procedures using proper dental terminology. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information at all times. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and oral surgery support. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and dental equipment operation. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is a plus. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while following radiation safety standards; experience with dental x-ray equipment is preferred. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about treatments and post-care instructions. Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 35.0 per week
