Job Summary Wentworth Community Dental Center, located at 668 Central Avenue in Dover, NH, provides affordable, high-quality dental care to underserved individuals and families throughout the greater Dover community. We are seeking a per diem Dental Assistant to join our mission-driven team. In this role, you will support providers in a fast-paced, procedure-focused practice, assisting with a variety of treatments, including extractions and other surgical procedures. The office sees patients from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday. This position helps provide coverage for call-outs, vacations, leaves, and vacancies. We are looking for a flexible, dependable team player who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering exceptional patient care.Summary:
Assists with a variety of health care tasks, from taking dental x-rays and caring for patients, to helping file records and appointment scheduling. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions- Assists dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
- Records treatment information in patient records.
- Exposes dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
- Gives patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
- Collects and records medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs.
- Provides postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Orders dental supplies and maintains dental equipment inventory.
- Fabricates temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
