Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to our dental professionals, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience and CDA preferred but not required. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and perform administrative duties as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in areas such as prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry. Utilize dental software systems, including FUSE, for managing patient information efficiently. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with dental software systems such as FUSE Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and proficiency in medical documentation practices. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and procedures within the dental field. Certification or training in dental assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
