We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team and help us maintain our high standards of patient care.
Job Summary:
The Dental Assistant will support our dental professionals by preparing treatment rooms, managing instruments and supplies, and providing direct patient care including Invisalign. Proficiency in Dentrix EMR is preferred as the role involves charting patient information, scheduling, and assisting with clinical tasks using this system.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including taking X-rays, impressions, and fabricating temporary restorations. Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment. Manage patient records using Dentrix EMR, including inputting treatment notes, updating medical histories, and scheduling appointments. Educate patients on oral hygiene, pre-and post-operative care, and answer questions. Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, and placing orders. Ensure compliance with all health regulations, including OSHA standards. Perform additional office tasks as needed, including administrative support and cross-training in other areas.
Qualifications:
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Dentrix EMR is required. Invisalign experience. Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and procedures. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work well in a team environment and multitask efficiently.
