Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with dental clinic experience to contribute to a positive patient experience while working in a professional healthcare environment. Duties Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Perform dental x-rays accurately and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols. Provide exceptional patient care, including patient management and addressing patient questions or concerns. Manage patient information using healthcare-specific management software, maintaining accurate and confidential records. Implement and uphold infection prevention and control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Support clinic operations by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and managing supplies. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required. Proficiency in taking dental x-rays is essential. Strong skills in patient care and management are necessary to foster a welcoming environment. Familiarity with healthcare management software used for patient records is preferred. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control procedures is critical to maintaining safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is highly valued.
