Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dental Assistant to join our established FFS/PPO office. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our dentists and hygienists while ensuring a positive patient experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, and adhering to the highest standards of infection control and patient care.
Duties:
  • Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing patients for treatment, taking and developing X-rays, and providing information to patients about their oral health.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including sterilizing instruments and supplies, restocking inventory, and disposing of biohazardous materials.

  • Participate in pediatric dentistry, providing gentle and compassionate care to young patients.
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest dental technologies and procedures, including medical imaging techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Assist with patient education, providing clear instructions on oral hygiene and treatment procedures.
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of infection control and patient care.
  • Experience with dental software and documentation.
  • Proficiency with X-ray equipment and imaging techniques.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix/Open Dental software.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and the dental team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a positive patient experience.
