Haledon and Ridgefield Park, NJ (Saturdays only)Responsibilities:
Assist Oral Surgeon in patient assessment and treatment planning Assist and prepare Oral Surgery procedures Sterilize, set up and prepare oral surgery equipment and instrumentation Preparation and maintenance of medical records and documentation Create patient file entries Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) Provide patient instruction and education on oral hygiene and care Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment Perform basic laboratory duties Schedule patient appointments Manage patient flow Under the supervision of the Oral Surgeon, deliver and assist with direct patient care Take diagnostic records Document and prepare cases Other duties as assignedSkills:
Successful candidates should demonstrate the following strengths: strong communication proficiency, customer focus, ethical, excellent organizational skills and problem solving, team playerRequirements:
High school diploma required; either a diploma from accredited orthodontic assistant program or relevant clinical experience. Dental assistant license or relevant clinical experience. X-ray license required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with oral surgery procedures, terminology and techniques. Salary commensurate with experience, up to $28 / hrBenefits
