In this energetic position, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing support with dental instruments and materials. Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to maintain clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records accurately using patient management software like Dentrix, documenting medical history, vital signs, and treatment details in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health care instructions, post-operative care, and preventive practices to promote optimal dental health. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing waiting areas as a dental receptionist when needed. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing dental equipment maintenance, and following healthcare infection prevention protocols. Assist with the operation of advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and other digital imaging tools to enhance diagnostic accuracy. Responsibilities Understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Effective communication within the team. Excellent patient care skills with a friendly demeanor that fosters trust and comfort for diverse patient populations including pediatric & geriatric dentistry cases. Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise is highly desirable. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during four-handed dentistry procedures while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
