Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery settings. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental x-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and utilizing patient management software such as Denticonor Dentrix Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support dental reception duties when needed by greeting patients, managing inquiries, and coordinating appointment logistics Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in the applicable region Proven experience with dental assisting in a busy clinical environment, preferably with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery experience Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Denticon for accurate record keeping Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation including X-ray machines and 3D scanners Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards Ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals Rotating Saturdays Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care!
