The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front office operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, as well as proficiency in handling medical records and patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments efficiently while considering patient needs and office availability. Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with four-handed dentistry by preparing treatment rooms and instruments as needed. Handle patient inquiries regarding treatments, insurance, and billing processes. Process patient payments and manage insurance claims using relevant systems such as Epic. Perform X-ray imaging when required, adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with dental assistants and other team members to ensure smooth office operations. Keep the reception area organized and welcoming for patients. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare environment is preferred. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques and general dentistry practices is a plus. Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA compliance is essential. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic is advantageous. Basic understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health is beneficial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
