Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professional. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist with patient treatments, manage dental equipment, and ensure smooth clinic operations while adhering to strict health and safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures providing chairside support with precision and efficiency. Take and develop dental x-rays Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health. Maintain dental sterilization procedures for instruments and ensure all dental equipment is functioning optimally for safe clinical practice. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures. Proficiency with patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, along with familiarity with EMR systems. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, including healthcare infection prevention standards and dental sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines; experience with dental x-ray equipment is preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and compassion. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant healthcare qualifications; additional certifications in medical imaging or infection control are advantageous.
