Job Summary Join our dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this role, you will assist the Doctor during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist chairside during various procedures while providing necessary instruments and materials promptly. Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to dental sterilization procedures. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Sensei, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical documentation accurately to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health. Maintain clinical cleanliness by processing dental instruments, sterilizing equipment, and adhering to aseptic techniques in compliance with healthcare infection prevention and control policies. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry setting is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft or Sensei is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology is essential for success in this role. Experience performing dental x-rays (including dental x-ray procedures) and utilizing 3D scanners or other advanced imaging technology is advantageous. Demonstrated understanding of infection control standards, dental sterilization procedures, four-handed dentistry techniques, and aseptic methods. Prior experience supporting oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or other specialized fields enhances your candidacy. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage medical records efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies are critical.
