Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures Assist dentist during various treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient experience Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices Maintain strict infection prevention protocols through proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and clinical procedures Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Patient Management Software; experience with EMR systems is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare infection prevention standards to ensure patient privacy and safety NM Radiology License and the ability to perform dental X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics is a plus Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding for accurate record keeping Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and healthcare professionals Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing outstanding dental care while fostering your professional growth.
