Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with dental x-ray regulations. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies. Monitor vital signs and medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care while maintaining excellent patient management software documentation. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation to ensure smooth clinic operations. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and oral surgery support. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and dental sterilization procedures. Experience with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for accurate record keeping and appointment management. Familiarity with infection control standards including aseptic technique and healthcare infection prevention policies. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards; experience with 3D scanners is a plus. Excellent communication skills for patient care, explaining procedures clearly and empathetically.
