Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a smooth clinical environment. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical efficiency. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients while upholding our commitment to excellence in general and pediatric dentistry. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and routine check-ups. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient appointments. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and image quality while adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient questions to foster comfort and trust. Implement infection prevention management practices by following aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and clinical confidentiality policies. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist with front desk duties. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Hands-on experience with dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and sterilization tools. Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient data management. Strong understanding of infection control standards including healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques for enhanced clinical efficiency. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus; certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred.
