Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. In this vital role, you will assist with clinical procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments such as restorations, extractions, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take high-quality dental x-rays and manage medical imaging records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Manage patient records using electronic medical record system Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment plans. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits while adhering to infection prevention management protocols. Conduct dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and managing medical documentation efficiently. Skills Proficiency with dental software including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and other patient management systems. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, clinical confidentiality policies, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with dental equipment operation including 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools. Expertise in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and oral surgery support. Familiarity with infection control standards including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention practices. Ability to accurately perform X-ray imaging while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and proficiency in medical documentation for accurate record keeping. Pay:
$18.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
