Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient procedures. Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Provide excellent chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing patient comfort, and explaining procedures using dental terminology accessible to patients of all ages. Follow clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments according to dental sterilization procedures and ensuring a clean clinical environment. Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical documentation or coding when necessary. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures is required. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge related to dentistry procedures, and medical terminology enhances your ability to support clinical teams effectively. Certification in radiography or X-ray certification for dental assistants is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing training opportunities are available for growth.
