Dental Assistant
Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Maintain accurate medical records and patient histories, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care to promote overall dental health. Perform basic laboratory tasks, including taking digital impressions and preparing dental materials. Manage appointment scheduling, confirming patient visits, and handling any inquiries related to dental treatments. Adhere to aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment within the clinic. Support pediatric dentistry by making children feel comfortable during their visits. Assist in endodontic procedures as needed, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care throughout their treatment. Skills Proficient in dental assisting techniques with a solid understanding of anatomy related to oral health. Familiarity with medical records management systems to ensure accurate documentation of patient information. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices to effectively engage with younger patients. Experience in endodontics is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist in specialized procedures. Competence in medical imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes within the dental practice. Ability to perform duties typically associated with a dental receptionist when required, including managing phone calls and patient inquiries. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members alike.
