About us Williams & Johnson Family Dental Group is a small business in Canton, OH. We seek to provide the highest quality of dentistry in an organized, sensitive and progressive practice. Established in 1981!
  • Overview:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our dentists, hygienists, and other support staff while ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. Experience and cross-training with front office is preferred!
  • Duties:
  • Assist dentists and hygienists in patient care, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, utilizing electronic medical records systems (Open Dental and Dexis). Perform various administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing patient communication. Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Utilize advanced technology, including 3D scanner (Medit i700), to support dentists in delivering high-quality dental care. Support pediatric dentistry by providing gentle and caring treatment to children and adolescents. Participate in general dentistry procedures, including routine cleanings and restorative care. Collaborate with our prosthodontics team to assist in the fabrication of dental prosthetics and appliances. Maintain a clean and organized dental environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or associate degree in dental assisting preferred.
Experience working in a general dental practice is highly valued. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and dental software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently. Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and infection control. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures in the field of dental assisting.
