Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with Dentrix is preferred, along with a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and medical documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment specializing in general dentistry. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques Take X-rays ensuring proper safety measures for patients and staff Record vital signs and medical history accurately within Dentrix Provide patient education on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral hygiene practices Maintain accurate medical coding and documentation for billing purposes Assist with the operation of 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology when necessary Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting; familiarity with dental assisting procedures is essential Proficiency with Dentrix Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety guidelines Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and medical terminology Certification in chairside assisting preferred; CPR certification is required or willing to obtain upon hire Excellent communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the dental field.
