Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards. Manage patient records accurately using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical documentation in accordance with healthcare infection prevention and control guidelines. Support patient care by providing clear explanations of procedures using dental terminology, assisting with patient management, and addressing patient questions professionally. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments efficiently through proper sterilization techniques and aseptic methods. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless workflow through four-handed dentistry practices and effective communication between team members. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred, especially with general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or oral surgery environments. Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable for efficient patient data management. Knowledge of dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools is essential. Familiarity with infection control standards, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention practices is required to ensure safety for both patients and staff. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge enhances your ability to support complex procedures effectively. Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude toward patient management will help foster trust and comfort during visits. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
