Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed Take dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining patient safety and comfort Complying with HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance Maintain inventory of supplies and sterilization of instruments in accordance with infection control standards Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable Dentrix experience is preferred, but not necessary Proficient in taking digital x-rays Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices is essential Being timely Being a team-player Familiarity with Dexis X-ray techniques and 3D scanning technology is advantageous Certification or training in chairside assisting and aseptic technique is preferred Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding medical records and data privacy Previous experience in general dentistry is preferred This position provides an engaging work environment where your skills contribute directly to patient health and satisfaction.
