Dental Assistant Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments, and assisting with various procedures. This role is vital in creating a comfortable environment for patients while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. The Dental Assistant will play a key role in supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations. Duties Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and equipment following proper procedures. Perform dental x-rays accurately and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols. Operate and maintain dental equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and offering reassurance throughout visits. Manage patient records and documentation with attention to detail. Support infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment at all times. Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role preferred. Knowledge of dental x-ray procedures, sterilization techniques, and dental equipment operation. Strong understanding of patient care principles within a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient support. Ability to follow safety protocols meticulously, especially regarding sterilization and infection control. Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Certification or licensing in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory depending on regional requirements. Pay:
$16.30 - $18.20 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
