The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of dental procedures, and the ability to assist the dental team effectively. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, including patient histories and treatment plans. Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and the dental team. Support front office operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Implement aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during procedures. Assist in prosthodontics procedures as required, demonstrating knowledge of relevant techniques. Practice four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during treatments. Stay updated on medical coding practices for accurate record keeping. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is mandatory. Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential. Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus, including appointment scheduling and patient communication. Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining accurate medical records. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
