This position offers flexible hours and opportunities within a supportive team dedicated to delivering outstanding oral healthcare. We see a mix of English and Spanish speaking patients in our office so we are looking for someone that is comfortable seeing English and Spanish speaking patients. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Perform expanded functions such as coronal polishing, temporary restorations, and other delegated duties following state regulations and clinic protocols. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures. Take high-quality dental X-rays and manage medical imaging records while adhering to HIPAA and infection prevention policies. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records, taking vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while documenting medical history, treatment notes, and ensuring accurate medical documentation in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Support infection control practices by sterilizing instruments according to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow and patient care efficiency. Assist with dental instrument processing and ensure all dental equipment is functioning properly for safe use. Use patient management software to schedule appointments, update records, and facilitate smooth patient experiences. Experience Previous EFDA experience is preferred. Comfortable seeing patients that are English and Spanish speaking. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR systems). We utilize Open Dental. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including X-ray techniques and oral surgery protocols. Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and healthcare infection control expertise. Experience with dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting, documentation, and handling dental instruments. Ability to operate dental equipment including 2D scanners. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Join us in delivering exceptional oral health care!
