Job Description

Part-Time EFDA - Thursday, Friday & Saturday We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday coverage. The ideal candidate is confident in restorative dentistry, enjoys working directly with patients, and can help the doctor provide efficient, high-quality care. This position is ideal for an EFDA who is comfortable with fillings, restorative procedures, prophylaxis, and digital scanning . Responsibilities Assist with and perform restorative procedures and fillings within the scope of state regulations. Perform prophylaxis/preventive services as permitted by applicable licensure. Assist the dentist with restorative and comprehensive treatment. Perform digital intraoral scanning for crowns, bridges, restorations, and other treatment needs. Prepare operatories and materials for restorative and preventive procedures. Take and maintain accurate clinical and digital records. Provide excellent patient care and create a comfortable experience for every patient. Follow all OSHA, sterilization, and infection-control protocols. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories. Work efficiently with the dentist and clinical team to keep the schedule running smoothly. Assist with other clinical duties as needed. Schedule Thursday, Friday & Saturday This is a consistent part-time position with the potential for additional hours based on practice needs and performance. Qualifications Current EFDA certification/licensure as required by the state. Dental assisting and EFDA experience preferred. Experience with restorative procedures, fillings, prophylaxis, and digital scanning . Strong attention to detail and clinical skills. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to work independently while being a strong team player. Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive dental team. $30.00 - $44.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
