Job Description

Company Overview We are a family oriented general dentist office with a small space where facial esthetics and injectables are carries out. We are looking to fill a unique roll. Our ideal candidate is willing to work a hybrid position that will focus on dental chairs assisting and include cross training in front office tasks including insurance, billing, and phone service. Dental hours of operation are Monday 7:30am-2:30pm, Wednesday 7:30am-2:30pm, and rotating Thursday 7:30am-2:30pm and Friday's 7:30am-5:00pm. A total 3 clinical days per week. During productive times hours may be extended. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in team dynamics, patient management, and dental technology, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will support Dr. Cueto and our hygienist, Julie to manage an efficient and effective clinical schedule. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention management protocols. Take digital dental x-rays using dental x-ray equipment and 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety standards. Manage patient records accurately using patient management software Eaglesoft, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting duties including obtaining proper consent forms, medical documentation, and explaining procedures to patients in clear dental terminology. Maintain clinical cleanliness by processing dental instruments according to sterilization procedures and infection control policies. Support patient care by managing appointment scheduling, patient check in and check out, obtaining medical history's and required patient paperwork, as a dental receptionist and providing excellent customer service throughout the patient experience. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting techniques and clinical procedures. Proficiency in Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation. Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and sterilization tools. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards. Knowledge of dental terminology related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties. Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about procedures and post-care instructions effectively. This individual will also be expected to participate in dental chairside assisting. It is not a requirement for dental radiographers license or accredited training. With the expansion of our medical spa services we are also open and looking to add an esthetician who may be interested in a hybrid role in a dental spa. Should an esthetician be hired, we would work together to build systems and client list for out spa services. Dental hours of operation are Monday 7:30am-2:30pm, Wednesday 7:30am-2:30pm, and rotating Thursday 7:30am-2:30pm and Friday's 7:30am-5:00pm. Additional hours for any esthetician candidates are negotiable.
